Most lists of SaaS ideas are somebody's opinion. This one is twenty micro-SaaS ideas where we can show you the demand: the exact phrase business owners, sellers, freelancers and teachers typed into TikTok search, how many of them typed it in the last seven days, and how many videos TikTok has matched to it.
TikTok is not where you would expect to find B2B intent, which is precisely why it is useful. Small-business owners, Etsy and TikTok Shop sellers, virtual assistants, cleaners, photographers and teachers all research their work there, and TikTok is the only large platform that publishes the search counts. Every number below comes from a pull on 19 September 2026 that you can open.
Why prosumer demand shows up on TikTok first
The person running a two-person cleaning company does not read G2. They watch a video called "3 apps every small business owner needs" and then ask in the comments which one it was. We searched that phrase and read the comments on the most-watched result, a video with 1,151,012 plays:
| Comment | Likes |
|---|---|
| "the daily sales record app is it o..... thanks for the update" | 49 |
| "Which of the daily sales record app please" | 13 |
| "Do this video again and show the exact apps" | 0 |
| "I only have issues with the canva part canva can't give you quality and more attractive designs and multiple people uses the same design template" | 0 |

That is a buyer telling you the category, the objection and the missing feature in three sentences. The search counts tell you how many people are in the same position.
The counts come from Creator Search Insights, TikTok's own keyword tool, which it launched in March 2024. Search popularity is searches over the last seven days, global unless a country is picked. A video count of zero is TikTok's content gap flag: people are asking and nothing is filed as the answer.
How we built this list
We ran topic searches on 25 seed phrases across bookkeeping, invoicing, inventory, payroll, scheduling, lesson planning, listings and automation, swept TikTok's content-gap channel filtered to Finance, Software and Workplace categories, and pulled autocomplete for "software for" and "app for my business". Autocomplete alone returned "software for small business", "software for business owners" and "apps you need for a small business".
20 micro-SaaS ideas, grouped by who pays
Each row names the buyer's job, the topic that proves people are looking for it, the weekly search count and the number of videos answering it.

How to size a micro-SaaS idea with these numbers
You cannot forecast revenue from search data, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling a spreadsheet. What you can do is a sketch that tells you whether an idea is worth a weekend.
Take the 7-day search count, multiply by 52 weeks, then apply two deliberately harsh discounts: the share of searchers who would click through to a tool at all, and the share of those who pay. For "liquor inventory management apps" at 3,691,468 weekly searches, 1% reaching your page and 1% of those paying gives roughly 19,000 paying accounts a year. At the other end, 0.1% and 0.5% gives about 960. That is a three-order-of-magnitude spread, which is the point: it tells you the idea is not absurd, and nothing more.
The multipliers are made up. They exist to show you whether an idea dies at every plausible discount rate or survives at most of them. An idea that only works at a 5% conversion rate is an idea that does not work.
Three tells of a bad idea
The volume is one country deep. Open the topic and look at where the searches come from. "service business pricing and invoicing" shows 2,784,678 weekly searches, and TikTok lists its top countries as Myanmar and the United States. If you are building a US invoicing product, half that number is not your market. Check the country split before you price in dollars.
The chart is a vertical line. The 7-day series behind "content calendar planning tools" runs 3,900 · 49,304 · 148,214 · 242,524 · 634,063 · 982,498 · 2,969,696. That is a topic TikTok has only just started grouping, so the level is real but the growth rate is not a trend you can extrapolate. A topic that went from nothing to millions inside a week is news, not a market.
The searchers are studying, not buying. "starting an AI automation business" has 4,252,272 weekly searches and 482 videos, but the searcher wants a business model, not your software. Compare it with "trading journal", a content-gap topic with 188,205 searches and 1,142 videos, where the searcher already has the habit and wants a better tool. Smaller and better.

Run this on your own category
The list above will be stale in a month. The loop will not be. Pick the buyer you understand best, write down eight phrases they would type when the job goes wrong, and run them all at once.
I am looking for micro-SaaS ideas for [small business owners / Etsy sellers / freelance designers]. Search TikTok topics for these eight phrases: [phrase 1] … [phrase 8]. Give me one table of every topic with its 7-day searches, video count and category, sorted by searches, and mark the ones with fewer than 300 videos. Then pull topic detail for the top five so I can see the countries and the 7-day series. Finally, find the most-commented TikTok video for the best phrase and list what people are asking for in the comments.
Two passes are usually enough. The first tells you which buyer has the loudest unanswered problem. The second, run against the winner's language, gives you the landing page copy, because you will be quoting the search box back at the person who typed it.
If you want the fuller validation sequence, including how to read what people say about the tools they already pay for, the startup validation guide walks through it on one idea. Creator Search Insights is where the same data lives inside the TikTok app if you would rather click than prompt.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good micro SaaS idea?
One where a specific group of people already does the job badly and searches for a better way in words you can read. On our 19 September 2026 pull, "liquor inventory management apps" showed 3,691,468 searches in seven days with no videos matched, and "school class scheduling program" showed 4,805,680 with none. Both name a buyer, a job and a category, which is more than most idea lists give you.
How do I find SaaS ideas?
Pick a buyer you understand, write eight phrases they would type when their work goes wrong, and search all eight on TikTok at once. Keep the topics with high searches and few videos, then read the comments on the most-commented video for that phrase to find what people are using instead. The prompt above runs the whole loop in one go.
Are micro SaaS businesses profitable?
They can be, because the costs are small and the buyer is narrow enough to reach without paid ads. Search data does not prove profitability; it proves that people are looking and tells you how many. Use the sketch in the sizing section to check whether an idea survives pessimistic assumptions, then go and charge someone before you build the rest.
Is TikTok really a source of B2B demand?
For small business, ecommerce, freelance and education buyers, yes. TikTok's autocomplete returns "software for small business", "software for business owners" and "apps you need for a small business" without prompting. For enterprise software it is the wrong channel, and a near-zero result in your category is itself a cheap answer. Numbers come from Creator Search Insights and are searches over the last seven days.
