Kalodata API and MCP in 2026: status, keys and a faster way

The fastest way to get Kalodata-style TikTok Shop sales data into Claude or ChatGPT is TokConnect's MCP server, which connects by sign-in with no API key: Kalodata's own MCP was still "coming soon" on 20 October 2026, and its API and Skill need a key you paste in. Asked "which electric toothbrushes sell best on TikTok Shop US?", TokConnect returned the Icon toothbrush and water flosser bundle at an estimated $78.06K from 1,593 units in 30 days.

Does Kalodata have an API?

Yes. Kalodata's Open API takes HTTP POST requests with JSON and a secret key in a header. Its docs list about 20 endpoints: detail and rank calls for videos, products, creators, shops, livestreams and categories, plus product selling-point and comment insight.

It is billed in credits. A detail call costs 0.1 credit, a rank call costs 0.1 credit for every 100 rows, and Kalodata says "1 point is approximately equivalent to 0.1 USD", with monthly rebates of 20% to 50%. Rate limits run from 10 to 100 requests per 10 seconds by endpoint (Open Center pricing).

The "Kalodata Skill" sits on top of the API. It installs from GitHub (sailtonight/kalodata-skill) into a coding agent such as Cursor, needs your API key, and charges 0.2 to 0.4 credits for basic queries and 1 to 2 for analysis (Skill page).

Is there a Kalodata MCP server?

Not yet. On 20 October 2026 Kalodata's Open Center labelled its MCP card "Coming Soon", unchanged from our 8 October check. We found no ChatGPT or Claude connector from Kalodata; the API and Skill both work with a pasted key.

If you want TikTok Shop sales estimates in Claude or ChatGPT today, an MCP server built for it is the direct route. These are the ones we could check.

TikTok Shop data MCP servers and APIs compared

Checked 20 October 2026 on each vendor's own pages, linked in the table. FastMoss's server also publishes OAuth discovery metadata, but its setup docs tell users to connect with the key. Every fact with its URL.

Set up TokConnect in Claude or ChatGPT in 3 steps

There is no key to copy. The server URL is https://mcp.tokconnect.com/mcp.

1. Add the server. In Claude (desktop or claude.ai), open Customize → Connectors, press + Add, then Add custom connector, and paste the URL. In ChatGPT on the web, switch on Developer mode in Settings → Security and login, go to chatgpt.com/plugins, press + and paste the URL.
2. Sign in. A TokConnect page opens. Continue with Google, then press Allow. New accounts start with 50 free credits.
3. Ask. Turn TokConnect on in a chat and ask a TikTok Shop question in plain words, like the one below.

In Claude Code it is one line: claude mcp add --transport http tokconnect https://mcp.tokconnect.com/mcp, then /mcp and Authenticate. Full guides: Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and Cursor.

Compare the key routes. Kalodata's Skill means getting API access, copying the key and installing the Skill from GitHub. FastMoss means buying an MCP plan and pasting a URL with ?api_key= on the end. EchoTik means adding username and password headers to a client config.

A real answer: electric toothbrushes on TikTok Shop US

We connected TokConnect and asked one question on 20 October 2026. The server made two calls.

First product_top_selling with keyword "electric toothbrush" and window 30d (359 products matched), then product method creators on the top row. This is the top row as the server returned it, trimmed:

TokConnect Shop Analytics, TikTok Shop US, estimated revenue and units for the 30 days to 18 October 2026. No row carried a placeholder-price flag. Data.

What the AI can tell you from that: the top three brushes sit within $7.78K of each other, so no brand owns the category. Autobrush pays the highest commission of the three at 14%. The Icon bundle sells almost entirely through video ($77.52K of $78.06K), and the creators call showed two creators, with 36.5K and 89.6K followers, drove an estimated $27.34K and $25.24K of it. Only 6 of the 10 rows are electric toothbrushes; the rest are a plaque remover, a holder, an oral-care kit and brush heads, which tells a seller what shoppers bundle with the search.

Markets: TokConnect covers 17 TikTok Shop markets in Claude and ChatGPT

TokConnect's Shop Analytics covers 17 TikTok Shop markets, each reachable by sign-in in Claude or ChatGPT with no key. The US is the default; name a country or pass a region code and the answer comes back in that market's currency. The markets are:

Core markets are the 13 the data source lists. Extended markets (Poland, Italy, the Netherlands and Ireland) are answered by the source with local data although it does not list them. South Korea is not offered: the source lists it but returned Singapore data when we tested. Singapore, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Turkey, Australia and Canada are refused. Two helpers stay US only, the deep search option on product_top_selling and category_trends with method products, and category totals for other markets are the source's 7-day figures, not GMV. Checked with live calls on 21 October 2026; the full list is public.

New in version 3.1.0, also checked on 21 October 2026:

• Category scope. product_top_selling and creator_top_selling take up to 5 category names or ids, with or without a keyword. With no keyword the tool merges 14 keyword searches and says how many rows that covered, so very small items can be missed.
• Order. True ascending or descending order on every ranking tool with a sort.
• Category tree and market size. category_trends method tree lists the 26 top-level categories and their children; method market_size counts the products, shops, creators, videos, LIVEs and brands the data source tracks in a market, which is not all of TikTok Shop.
• Product attributes and conversion. product method analysis returns listing attributes and highlights; method conversion returns the creators selling it and their conversion ratio. Review insights now come back smaller.
• Shop growth. shop methods new_affiliates and affiliate_videos return a daily series with a summary.
• Creator audience. creator_commerce method audience returns age bands, gender split, top locations and languages, and active hours, and says so when the source has not built it. Individual affiliates are not named.
• Markets list. The new shop_regions tool lists the 17 markets with currency, language and tier.
