A real export
One real comment section, exported
Scrub Daddy’s comment section kept asking for a baby bottle brush. In August 2025 the brand posted a video telling them, “We see the comments” (read its transcript). On 22 September 2026 it launched one, Scrub Baby, in a 41-second video. By 8 October that video had 5.4 million views and 3,486 comments.
We pulled its first 50 top-level comments, in TikTok’s own order, and read every one. Here are nine of them as they land in the export, with handles left out.

Handle comment data with care
- Strip handles before you share. Keep them in your working file if you need to reply, and take them out of anything you send on.
- Quote short and quote exactly. A comment is a person’s words. Don’t change them to fit your slide.
- Count themes, don’t track people. Following one commenter across videos to work out who they are isn’t research.
- Check for bots and spam before you count. They inflate a theme fast.
- Pull again rather than archive. Comments get deleted and edited, and likes keep moving.
Questions about viewing and exporting TikTok comments
Is there a way to export TikTok comments?
Yes, with TokConnect. TikTok itself has no export button in the app, in TikTok Studio or on the web, and its “Download your data” file holds your own activity, not the comments other people left on your videos. Does the export include replies?
The free viewer shows each comment’s reply count, not the replies themselves. TikTok’s total comment count includes replies, so it will be higher than what you can read here. TokConnect’s full tools open reply threads one comment at a time.
Can I view the comments on someone else’s TikTok video?
Yes, if the video is public. TokConnect shows the comments on any public video. Counting themes on a competitor’s video is normal market research. Republishing named comments, or tracking one commenter across videos, is not. Strip handles before anything leaves your working file.
How do I pick a random comment winner on TikTok?
