What Exolyt hears well
Exolyt is a TikTok-only analytics and listening tool, founded in Helsinki in 2020, according to its about page. Its strength is patience: it listens to the same accounts and hashtags every day and keeps what it hears.
- A1
Tracking at volume
Essentials tracks 50 accounts, 50 hashtags and 50 sounds, refreshed twice a day. Advanced tracks 300 of each, six times a day. That suits an agency reporting on many clients and their rivals.
pricing - A2
Listening projects with sentiment
Listening runs over brand videos and monitors comments, with sentiment. Essentials includes 3 projects and Advanced 15; the pricing page puts sentiment analysis on Advanced.
listening - A3
History that builds up
Because it keeps tracking, its charts grow: 90 days on Essentials and at least a year on Advanced. A lookup tool only shows the present plus TikTok’s own trend windows.
pricing - A4
Benchmarks and share of voice
Brand comparison puts accounts side by side, and share of voice sets your brand against one or many competitors.
share of voice - A5
Audience age, gender and country
Advanced adds age and gender analytics for tracked accounts, and Essentials adds country analytics.
accounts - A6
Sound trends
Sound monitoring shows hotness scores and which tracks are rising or falling, so a team can spot a sound before it peaks.
sounds - A7
Influencer campaigns
It tracks campaign videos automatically: 10 campaigns on Essentials, 100 on Advanced. Advanced also includes an influencer database, which costs extra on the other plans.
campaigns - A8
Seats and exports
Every paid plan includes 10 team members. Data goes out as CSV or into Google Sheets and Looker Studio.

A Rare Beauty teaser, heard and then looked up
On 7 October Rare Beauty posted a teaser that asked “Any guesses?”. We read what people said under it, then checked how many people search for the thing they asked for.
What the comments said
The teaser had 148 comments when we checked on 8 October. Of the first 50 in TikTok’s own order, 17 guess who or what is coming (8 of them expect another collab with Béis), 14 say they are ready to buy, and 5 ask when. Only 4 name a product they want. One of those 4 is the most-liked of the 50.
Likes on the first 50 comments, in TikTok’s order
- Guessing the collab or face17 of 50 213 likes
- Ready to buy14 of 50 60 likes
- Asking what or when5 of 50 130 likes
- Product wishes4 of 50 420 likes
- Availability1 of 50 0 likes
- Other (emoji, reactions)9 of 50 17 likes
“Justice for cream blush”
The top comment of the 50: 414 likes and 11 replies. The four “product wishes” drew 420 likes, as many as the other five groups combined.
This is where Exolyt is strong. A listening project would catch that comment too, and keep catching ones like it every day with a sentiment score attached. What a comment can’t tell you is how many people want cream blush and never comment. That is where TokConnect comes in.
How many people search for it
So we looked up cream blush on TikTok search. “best cream blush” was searched 299,909 times in the 7 days to 8 October 2026, worldwide, and TikTok matched 1,129 videos to it. Its daily readings over 30 days stayed between 109,260 and 308,472, so this is steady demand, not a one-day spike. “best liquid blush”, the format of Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch blush, ran higher.
Daily TikTok searches for cream and liquid blush

- 50.6%are in the US, then Australia (8.5%) and Canada (8.3%)
Audience shares are TikTok’s 30-day split for the search, turned into percentages. A rival brand’s name is in one of these searches: “milani cream blush” has 280,628 searches and only 583 videos.
Brand searches nobody has answered
Listening only hears what people post. Search also shows what people want and nobody has posted. Two typed searches about the brand had no videos at all on 8 October. A third is shown for contrast.
We ran the brand search again on 10 October 2026. “working at rare beauty” still had 0 videos, with 81,108 searches that week. A search that was not in our 8 October results had appeared: “rare beauty nearly apricot”, 274,417 searches and 0 videos. 10 October data.
Topic groups are not searches. TikTok also returned records like “blush and cheek makeup products” with 4,462,767, a figure that pools many related searches. We left every such group out of the numbers above; the data file lists each one and why.

Magnifier, headphones, or both
Pick TokConnect if
you need to know what people search for before anyone posts it, want to open any account, video, comment thread or Shop listing on the spot, or want the answers inside ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor rather than another dashboard.
Pick Exolyt if
you specifically need to report on many TikTok accounts and hashtags every week, with history that builds while you track, sentiment and share of voice in a dashboard, and 10 people logged in to one place.
Use both if
you are an agency that already reports from Exolyt. Use TokConnect for pitches and the slide that asks what the category searches for next, and keep Exolyt for daily tracked reports. Our Exolyt alternatives page and the agency page go further.

Questions people ask about Exolyt and TokConnect
Which is better for TikTok research, Exolyt or a search-data tool?
TokConnect, for most research: it shows TikTok's own search counts for a whole list of phrases, such as the 299,909 searches for "best cream blush" in the 7 days to 8 October 2026, and opens any public video, creator, comment thread or Shop listing when you ask, from $49 a month or 50 free credits. Choose Exolyt if you specifically need long-term tracking of chosen accounts and hashtags with history, sentiment and a team dashboard, from €250 a month (checked 10 October 2026).
Does Exolyt show TikTok search volume?
We found no TikTok search volume or keyword demand on Exolyt's site when we checked on 8 and 10 October 2026. Its search page says it finds accounts, hashtags, songs and videos. TikTok's own search counts live in Creator Search Insights, which TokConnect reads for whole lists of phrases at once.
Can I ask Exolyt's TikTok data questions inside ChatGPT or Claude?
Exolyt documents CSV export, Google Sheets and Looker Studio, and no public API, as of 10 October 2026. To ask TikTok questions inside ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor, TokConnect is the better pick: it is an MCP server with 83 tools for searches, videos, creators, comments and TikTok Shop listings.
Can an agency use Exolyt alongside search data?
Yes. Use TokConnect to check what a category searches for before a pitch and to pull any account, video or comment thread on the day, and keep Exolyt if clients want daily tracked reports with history.
How we checked
All TikTok figures were pulled on 8 October 2026 through TokConnect’s MCP server: user_profile and creator_posts for Rare Beauty; video_comments for two teasers posted on 7 October (first 50 comments each, TikTok’s “relevant” order); search_topics for “cream blush”, “liquid blush” and “rare beauty”; search_popularity (30 days) for two searches; audience_demographics (30 days) for “best cream blush”; and search_shop_products for the blush listing.
Search counts are TikTok’s global 7-day search popularity from Creator Search Insights. We count only typed searches. A record is treated as a TikTok topic group, and left out, if its figure is 5 million or more, or 1 million or more with a first daily reading under 5% of its last, or if TikTok files it under Featured Content. Off-topic records the seeds returned (hair, medicine) were not used. Comment themes come from keyword rules we wrote, checked by hand; the rules are in the data file. Commenter names are removed.
Exolyt facts come from its own pricing and feature pages, read on 8 October 2026. On 10 October 2026 we re-read its pricing and search pages (prices unchanged) and ran search_topics for “rare beauty” again; two searches that contain a person’s first name are masked in that file.
