We publish these guides for people who want to use TikTok data in an AI agent or a content research project. TokConnect is the vendor behind the product described here. We are independent of TikTok.
Who prepares the guides
The library carries Daniel’s byline and TikTok marketing background. We use AI-assisted drafting and editing, supported by product-code checks, public documentation, and direct research calls. Our Stop Slop writing guidelines help keep the explanations direct.
What counts as a research example
A recorded example includes the tool name, inputs, retrieval date, and returned data. Tables and calculations must be traceable to those records. We remove credentials from shared evidence files. Examples describe the retrieved sample; they do not establish a result for every TikTok user or video.
A proposed calendar, creator shortlist, or content brief is our interpretation of the research. We label it accordingly. When a tool returns incomplete data, we show what is available and explain how that affects the decision.
What a setup check establishes
We distinguish three checks. A documentation review confirms that a vendor describes a configuration. A protocol test checks discovery or a tool call against an MCP server. A native-client test runs that setup in the named client. Success at one level does not establish success at another, and local-server results do not by themselves prove a hosted endpoint works.
Connection guides state which checks were completed. Where available, they include the client version, environment, command, and a sanitized result. We do not attach a tested badge to an untested client.
Dates and corrections
Article update dates record substantive editorial changes. Retrieval dates belong to the data and appear with the example. Neither date promises that a changing metric is still current when you read it.
To report a correction, email TokConnect with the article URL, the affected step, and any relevant client version or sanitized error. Remove API keys and private information from the report.
