Who has the most followers on TikTok? The 25 most followed accounts in 2026

Khaby Lame (@khaby.lame) has the most followers on TikTok, with 163 million on 27 September 2026. Charli D'Amelio is second with 160.3 million, and MrBeast is third with 142.2 million.

So if you want to know who has the most followers on TikTok today, the answer is still Khaby Lame, but only just. Only three accounts have passed 100 million. The fourth biggest is TikTok's own account, at 95.9 million. We checked 36 of the largest accounts one by one on the same day and ranked them by the follower count TikTok returned.

Who has the most followers on TikTok: the top 25

This is the full top 25, ranked by followers. The likes column is the total number of likes across every video the account has posted.

Data: public TikTok profile counts for 36 accounts, pulled one at a time via TokConnect on 27 September 2026. TikTok returns these follower counts rounded to the nearest 100,000. Its raw like totals break above about 2.1 billion, so we corrected those and checked every one against Wikipedia's list (17 September 2026). Open the snapshot.

A few things stand out. Six of the top 25 are not people at all: TikTok itself, ESPN, two football clubs and two football competitions. Omar Aliev has just moved above Kylie Jenner since Wikipedia's 17 September count. Just outside the top 25 sit Selena Gomez (58.6 million), Younes Zarou (57.6 million) and Shakira (56.8 million).

Could Charli D'Amelio take number one back?

The gap at the top is 2.7 million followers. That sounds like a lot, but it is less than 2% of Khaby's total.

It is also closing. On 1 September 2026, Dexerto counted Khaby at 162.8 million and Charli at 159.2 million. By 27 September, Khaby had added about 200,000 followers and Charli about 1.1 million. MrBeast grew fastest of the three, adding about 2.7 million in the same weeks, though he is still 18 million behind Charli.

Different sources round counts in slightly different ways, so treat those gains as rough. But if the pattern holds, the number one spot could change hands again. That is why this page is refreshed.

Who has held number one over time

Only a handful of accounts have ever been the most followed on TikTok. Each one got there with a different kind of video.

Charli D'Amelio passed Loren Gray when both had about 41 million followers. Entertainment Tonight reported Charli at 41.4 million and Loren at 41.3 million that day. Eight months later, on 22 November 2020, Charli became the first person to reach 100 million followers on TikTok, a record Guinness World Records lists.

Khaby Lame took over in June 2022 with about 142 million followers. Guinness reported that he was growing by about 3 million followers a month at the time, against about 1 million for Charli. Four years on, that has flipped. Loren Gray, the number one of 2019, now has 52.7 million followers, well outside the top 25.

This is the kind of video that got Khaby to the top. It is one of his most liked, from January 2022.

What the most followed TikTokers have in common

Many need no words

Khaby Lame's videos work in any country because he rarely says a word. He watches a silly life hack, then shows the easy way with a shrug. Zach King's videos are visual tricks built in editing. CZN Burak cooks huge meals and smiles at the camera. A viewer in Mexico, Turkey or Japan gets the joke without subtitles.

Music and dance got the early leaders there

Every number one in the table before Khaby grew with music: lip-sync videos for Lisa and Lena and Loren Gray, dances for Charli D'Amelio. Addison Rae and Bella Poarch rose the same way and now release music themselves.

The list is global

The top 25 includes accounts from at least eight countries, among them the US, Italy, Indonesia, Mexico, Spain, Turkey, South Korea and Kazakhstan. Indonesia's Willie Salim has more followers than BTS, Dwayne Johnson or Billie Eilish.

Posting a lot is one route, not the only one

The number of videos behind these counts varies hugely. FIFA World Cup has posted about 11,100 videos and ESPN about 10,600. Billie Eilish has 82 and Lamine Yamal 83. Stars who were already famous bring their fans with them. Creators who started on TikTok, like Khaby (1,356 videos) and Charli (3,275), built their followings by posting for years. Lamine Yamal is the only individual athlete in the top 25. He plays for FC Barcelona and Spain and is 19, which makes his 70.7 million followers stand out: he has posted just 83 videos. Charli D'Amelio has almost twice the likes of anyone else we checked, even though she is not number one for followers. These numbers change every day

Follower counts move all the time. The big accounts gain or lose thousands of followers a day, and the order in the middle of the table can shift within a week. We counted everything on 27 September 2026 and will refresh this page, so check the date at the top before you quote a number.

Two things to know when you compare with other lists. First, TikTok shows big counts rounded, so one site may say 163 million and another 162.9 million on the same day. Second, many lists are months old. Wikipedia's version from 17 September ranked Kylie Jenner above Omar Aliev. Ten days later Omar was half a million ahead.
