TikTok Creative Center is the free, public website at ads.tiktok.com where you can see trending hashtags, videos, creators and top ads by country and industry. It is built for advertisers and it measures posts and views. It does not show you how many people searched for anything.
The search numbers live somewhere else: Creator Search Insights, inside the TikTok app. And there is a third tool most people never see, the keyword planner in Ads Manager, which only opens for advertisers. Three tools, three different questions, one shared name confusion. Here is which one answers what.
The three tools side by side
| Creative Center | Creator Search Insights | Ads Manager keyword planner | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where | ads.tiktok.com, desktop web | TikTok app via search, or tiktok.com/csi | TikTok Ads Manager, desktop web |
| Who can open it | Anyone. TikTok says "a login is not required" | Adult creator accounts in supported regions | Ad accounts in 12 supported countries, others by allowlist |
| Core question | What content and ads are performing? | What are people searching for? | What should I bid on? |
| Headline metrics | Posts, views, likes, CTR percentile, budget level | Search popularity (7 days), popularity score, video count, content gap | Search volume, competition, impression forecast |
| Organic search volume | No | Yes | Paid-search view of it |
| Country filter | Yes, plus industry | Yes, on a topic's chart | Tied to the ad account's targeting |
| Getting the data out | Copy from the page; the deeper lists need a login | None. Screenshots only | Into the ad group, not into your spreadsheet |
| Cost | Free | Free | Free to look, you need an ad account |

What TikTok Creative Center actually shows
TikTok's help page calls Creative Center "a free, public home to an ever-growing suite of creative resources" for finding "the latest trends, ad examples, best practices, and tools to create effective TikTok ads". That is a fair description. It is a marketing library, not a keyword tool.
Three parts matter:
- Trends. Ranked hashtags, videos and creators, filtered by country and industry. This is the part people mean when they say "Creative Center trends".
- Top Ads. Real ads that performed, shown with likes, a CTR percentile band and a rough budget level. Useful for seeing what a category's creative looks like when it works.
- Creative tools. Symphony Creative Studio, Symphony Automation and an API, all aimed at producing and refreshing ad assets.
When we opened the hashtag view on 19 September 2026 without logging in, the top rows looked like this:
| Rank | Hashtag | Industry | Posts | Views |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | #bloodhoundq50 | News & Entertainment | 20.4K | 294.7M |
| 2 | #september11 | News & Entertainment | 37.4K | 363.4M |
| 3 | #starbyface | 15.5K | 54M |

Posts and views tell you what got made and watched. They cannot tell you what people typed into the search bar and failed to find, which is the question that decides what to film next. The Creator tab was marked "Coming soon" on the day we looked, and the deeper hashtag list sat behind "Log in or sign up".
Creator Search Insights: the only place with search demand
Creator Search Insights is the search tool TikTok launched for creators in March 2024. You reach it by typing creator search insights into TikTok's search bar and tapping View, or by logging in at tiktok.com/csi. Inside, every topic carries a Search popularity figure, which is the number of searches in the last seven days, global unless you pick a country.

It also carries the Content gap flag: topics with heavy search traffic and few videos matched to them. On 19 September 2026, 78 of the 80 topics in TikTok's gap channel had a video count of zero, including one at 13.2 million searches for the week. No advertiser tool exposes that, because it is a creator problem, not a bidding problem.
What you give up is everything around the data. There is no export and no history on either surface, and the suggestions are personalised to your account. The complete guide covers each tab, and the content gap guide covers the flag.
The keyword planner, and why you probably can't open it
TikTok Ads Manager has a Keyword Planner for Search Ads campaigns, described by TikTok as "a centralized planning tool designed to help you evaluate and plan for the most optimal keywords strategy". It shows search volume, competition and performance predictions, and it feeds keyword plans straight into an ad group.
The catch is access. It runs in ad accounts whose home country is one of twelve supported markets, and everyone else needs allowlist approval. There is a lighter version inside campaign setup: click Add Keywords on the targeting page and TikTok suggests keywords with monthly impression predictions, which TikTok says are "based on historical data and are for reference only".
If you are buying Search Ads, use it. If you are planning organic videos, the numbers are the wrong shape: impressions an ad might win, not searches people ran.
When to use which
| You want to know | Open this |
|---|---|
| Which hashtags and songs are climbing in a country right now | Creative Center trends |
| What good creative in my category looks like | Creative Center Top Ads |
| How many people search a topic, and whether videos exist for it | Creator Search Insights |
| Which topics in my niche have demand and no answers | Creator Search Insights, Content gap |
| What a keyword will cost me in Search Ads | Ads Manager keyword planner |
| Search demand for 50 keywords, in a spreadsheet, on a laptop | None of them |
That last row is not a joke. It is the reason this page exists.
The gap none of them fill
Put the three together and one thing is still missing: TikTok's own search volumes, for keywords you choose, in a format you can sort.
Creative Center is on the desktop but has no search data. Creator Search Insights has the search data, in the app and at tiktok.com/csi, but no export. The keyword planner has search data shaped for bidding, and only for advertisers. If you are writing a content brief, none of these gets you a table.
TokConnect closes that specific gap. It exposes the Creator Search Insights fields (topic, 7-day search popularity, popularity score, video count, content gap flag, category, country series, related topics, audience) over the Model Context Protocol, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or a script can ask for them from a laptop. One question covers what would be twenty minutes of tapping:
For each of these niches, search TikTok topics and return the top five by 7-day search popularity: "sourdough", "van life", "thrift flip", "home gym". Give me one table with niche, topic, searches, video count and category, and mark any topic with fewer than 100 videos as a content gap.
The trade-off is honest: Creative Center is free and TokConnect is not. Use both. Creative Center still answers the hashtag and creative questions better than anything else, and our hashtag data and weekly trends pages exist because those questions matter. But when the question is "what are people searching for", there is one source, and it is not the Creative Center.
If you want to see the numbers before deciding anything, the search volume guide shows what they look like and how they compare with Google's, and most searched on TikTok lists the biggest topics we pulled this week.
Frequently asked questions
How do I access the TikTok Creative Center?
Go to ads.tiktok.com/business/creativecenter in a browser. TikTok's help page says "a login is not required to access Creative Center", though signing in with a TikTok or ads account unlocks saved collections, the longer trend lists and personalised insights.
What is TikTok Creative Center?
TikTok's free public library of trends and ad examples, built for advertisers. It ranks hashtags, videos and creators by country and industry, shows top-performing ads with likes and a CTR band, and hosts TikTok's Symphony creative tools. It is a performance-and-inspiration tool, not a keyword tool.
Where can I find the TikTok Creator Center?
There is no "Creator Center". People usually mean one of three things: Creative Center on the web for trends and ads, TikTok Studio for your own analytics and uploads, or Creator Search Insights, in the app or at tiktok.com/csi, for what people are searching. Search-demand numbers only exist in the third one.
Does TikTok Creative Center show search volume?
No. Creative Center reports posts, views, likes and ad performance. TikTok's search volumes appear as "Search popularity" in Creator Search Insights, in the app or at tiktok.com/csi, and in the Ads Manager keyword planner for advertisers in supported countries.
