This is the October 2026 edition of our monthly product report, for TikTok Shop sellers, affiliates and creators who want a dated list they can plan and cite from. We ran 12 product searches through TikTok's search data on 30 September 2026, kept the 51 phrases people actually type, pulled 60 days of history for the three leaders, and looked at the videos that rank for them. For the live list that refreshes every week, see TikTok trending products this week. For the story behind the famous hashtag, see TikTok made me buy it.

The short version: October's product searches are seasonal and specific. The two biggest both end in "2026", winter searches have started, and the fastest risers are dupes and store-plus-season lists.

These are the 20 biggest typed product searches from our pulls, ranked by TikTok's 7-day search count. "Change" compares the last day of the week with the first. "Videos" is how many videos TikTok matches to that exact phrase, so a low number means little competition.

Data: TikTok Creator Search Insights via TokConnect, pulled 30 September 2026 for 12 searches, 20 topics each: "amazon must haves", "tiktok shop finds", "fall must haves", "winter must haves", "kitchen must haves", "costco finds", "target finds", "dupes", "perfume dupe", "halloween decor", "halloween costume" and "christmas gift ideas". Searches are TikTok's 7-day global figure. "New" means under 1,000 searches on the first day. Snapshot with all 51 typed searches.

Horizontal bar chart of the 15 biggest typed product searches on TikTok, pulled 30 September 2026. halloween decorations 2026 leads with 931,293, then target fall finds 2026 with 691,430 and tiktok shopping finds with 669,000. The other 12, from l19 dupe at 313,543 down to amazon vacation must haves at 247,025, sit within about 70,000 of each other.

Three shapes of search fill the list. Seasonal searches with a year in them ("halloween decorations 2026", "target fall finds 2026"). Store lists split by room or use ("amazon laundry must haves", "amazon desk must haves", "costco finds food"). And dupes, where people name the thing they want a cheaper version of. Past the top three, every search sits between 224,687 and 313,543 a week, so demand is spread across many small phrases rather than one big product.

Where are Christmas gifts and Halloween costumes? Both searches returned only TikTok's own topic labels, like "Christmas gift ideas for guys" (4,405,477) and "Halloween trio costume ideas" (4,810,293). Labels group many searches under one name and read between 1.86 million and 9.61 million, so treat them as the size of a theme, not phrases to copy. Costume searches have their own page: TikTok Halloween costumes.

Line chart of daily TikTok search readings from 31 July to 29 September 2026. halloween decorations 2026 starts at 58,470, spikes to 562,339 on 24 August, then climbs through September to 931,293 on 29 September. target fall finds 2026 starts at 116,974, jumps to 759,875 on 7 September and ends at 691,430.

"halloween decorations 2026" ended September on its highest reading of the 60 days, 931,293. It has climbed almost every week since late August, so October demand starts from a high base. "target fall finds 2026" peaked earlier, at 759,875 on 7 September, and has swung between 263,373 and 751,585 since.

"tiktok shopping finds" is the warning. It averaged over a million a day in August, sank to 30,360 on 6 September, and bounced back to 669,000 on the last day. A generic phrase like this swings on TikTok's side; a named, seasonal search builds steadily. Plan content around the second kind.

Grouped bar chart comparing average daily search readings in August and September 2026. halloween decorations 2026 rose from 170,089 to 420,113. target fall finds 2026 rose from 188,740 to 488,145. TikTok Shopping Finds fell from 1,136,337 to 195,680.

Some cooled: "amazon hosting must haves" fell 66%, "cute target finds" 64%, and "fall amazon must haves" 53%. That last one is worth a second look. The same idea with the words swapped, "amazon fall must haves", was new this week at 224,687. TikTok counts each word order as its own search, so say the exact phrase people type.

Product searches with no videos yet

Seventeen of the 51 typed product searches had no videos matched. When a search has real demand and nothing to show, a new video is the easiest thing for TikTok to put in front of it. Our content gap guide explains how to read this.

Dupes are the standout. Ten of the 11 dupe searches we found had no videos, and together those ten hold 1,490,773 searches a week. Perfume leads: "imagination", "byredo", "althair" and "dm perfume dupes" are all fragrance searches, and the "perfume dupe" seed returned 19 topic labels on top. Makeup and fashion follow with "nars dupe", "rhode dupes", "coach dupes" and "the row dupe".

A dupe is not a fake

A dupe is a different product with a similar look, feel or scent, sold under its own name. A fake copies the brand's name or logo. TikTok's Intellectual Property Policy bans buying, selling or promoting counterfeit goods, so name the original only to compare, and show the alternative's own branding.

Ask TokConnect

Which [product type] searches on TikTok have lots of searches but no videos this week?

What the top videos for the leading products look like

We ran a video search for three of the leaders. TikTok ranks search results by how well a video matches the words, not only by views, and the three result sets show that in different ways.

"halloween decorations 2026": the year hashtag does the work

TikTok returned six videos. All six carry #halloween2026 in the caption, and five were posted in September. The first result was posted on 29 September and had 17 plays; the video with the most plays, an inflatable decor haul with 175,460 plays from 14 June, ranked fourth. Lengths ran from 15 to 37 seconds. For a year-stamped search, the year in your caption and a fresh post date count for a lot.

"target fall finds 2026": clothing hauls lead

Seven videos, all posted between 11 August and 24 September 2026, and every caption names Target. The top result is a 19-second fall clothing haul with 122,220 plays and 1,761 saves. Three of the seven are clothing or try-on hauls, and two are home decor. The most-played, with 194,145 plays, is a 10-second clip of one new product, a fall water bottle collection, which shows how well a single "just landed" find does. The middle length was 20 seconds.

"amazon winter must haves": last year's videos still rank

Nine videos, posted between November 2023 and December 2025, and none from 2026. Five of the nine captions are about heated gadgets or hand warmers, and the top one by plays, a 9-second hand warmer clip, has 1,986,686 plays and 13,231 saves. The middle length is 11 seconds. With searches up 1,061% this week and no 2026 video in the results, this is the clearest opening on the page.

Product hashtags: views and videos

Data: TikTok hashtag search for "finds" and "halloweendecor", 30 September 2026. Snapshot.

#targetfinds averages slightly more views per video than #amazonfinds (20,604 against 20,216) on about a sixth as many videos, which fits the search data: Target's fall searches more than doubled in September. Halloween decor tags average around 10,000 views a video. Pair one big tag with one specific tag and put the full search phrase in your caption. Our hashtag guide goes deeper.

How to use the October 2026 list

TikTok says it reads captions, sounds and hashtags to understand what a video is about (TikTok Help Center). So the words you use decide which of these searches your video can show up for.

  1. Put the year in. The two biggest product searches end in "2026". Say it, show it on screen and write it in the caption.
  2. Start winter now. "amazon winter must haves" rose 1,061% in a week, and every video ranking for it is from a past winter. A 2026 version has little to beat.
  3. Split lists by room, person or trip. Laundry, desk, school, vacation, office, men: each is its own search with under 700 videos.
  4. Keep it short and show one thing. 16 of the 22 ranking videos ran 37 seconds or less, and in two of the three searches the most-played video showed a single product.
  5. Do dupes honestly. Compare on price, notes or fabric, and name the original only to compare.
  6. Leave Christmas for November. Gift searches were still only topic labels on 30 September. We'll check again in the next edition.
Disclose affiliate links

Eight of the nine "amazon winter must haves" videos send viewers to a link in bio or a storefront. If you earn from a link or got the product free, the FTC says to disclose it in the video itself, not only in the caption (Disclosures 101). Selling on TikTok Shop yourself? How we got these numbers

On 30 September 2026 we ran 12 product searches through TikTok's Creator Search Insights data and took the top 20 topics for each: 240 topics, 237 unique. We split them into typed searches (all under 1 million) and 178 TikTok topic labels (1.86 million and up). We left out eight typed results that weren't products or were about health, which left 51 product searches. We added 60-day history for the top three, three video searches and two hashtag searches. Every pull is in the snapshots linked under each table.

"Searches" is TikTok's search popularity: searches in the last 7 days, worldwide (more in TikTok search volume). The latest daily reading TikTok gave on 30 September was dated 29 September. Searches measure demand before anyone buys; for sold units you need TikTok Shop analytics, and for products featured in ads TikTok's Creative Center Top Products. You can check any single search yourself in Creator Search Insights, in the TikTok app or on desktop at tiktok.com/csi with a TikTok login, one at a time and with no export (TikTok Help Center). Or ask TokConnect "which home decor searches are rising on TikTok this week?" and get the searches, videos and numbers in one answer. The product research guide shows the full method.
