- Find affiliates in three free places: Find Creators in Affiliate Center, TikTok search for your product, and the creators behind your competitors' top videos.
- Run an open collaboration for everyone and a higher target collaboration rate with a free sample for your best 10 to 20. The target rate always overrides the open rate.
- Shortlist on recent median views, not the viral hit. Five creators behind top pet-hair videos had hits of 431,854 to 22,005,804 views but recent medians of 595 to 1,943.
- 11 of the top 19 TikTok videos for "pet hair remover" came from brand or store accounts. Your competitors are in the search results, so study them before you brief creators.
- US affiliates need 1,000 followers; under 5,000 they can only promote shops rated 95% or higher, so a low shop rating shuts out new creators.
Here's how to find TikTok Shop affiliates: start with Find Creators inside Seller Center's Affiliate Center, which filters creators by category, followers, commission rate and sales. Then search TikTok for your product and note who made the top videos, and check which creators already sell your competitors' products. Turn on an open collaboration so any eligible affiliate can add your product, and send target collaboration invites with a free sample to your best 10 to 20.
Shortlist on recent views, not on the one viral video. When we searched "pet hair remover" on TikTok on 30 September 2026, 11 of the top 19 videos came from brand accounts, not creators. The five creators with 10,000+ followers behind the biggest shedding videos had hits of 431,854 to 22,005,804 views, yet their recent posts drew a median of 595 to 1,943. This guide is for sellers and brand teams; creators should read the affiliate requirements guide instead.

Where can you find TikTok Shop affiliates?
Five places, and the first three are free. Use them together: Find Creators gives you sales data, TikTok search shows you who can make a product video that ranks.
| Where | What you get | Cost | Use it for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Find Creators (Affiliate Center) | Filters for product category, follower size, audience age and gender, commission rate, LIVE or video, agency, "fast growing". Profiles show 30-day revenue, units sold, average video views and engagement rate | Free with a seller account | Your main list, with sales numbers nobody else has |
| Open collaboration | Your product sits in the marketplace creators browse. Any eligible affiliate can add it, or you approve each request | Commission on sales only | Inbound affiliates you never had to find |
| TikTok search for your product | The creators whose videos already rank for the product type, with public views and saves | Free | Creators who can film a demo that gets found |
| Competitors' videos and hashtags | Who is already selling a similar product, and how their videos look | Free | Warm leads who know the category |
| Agencies and influencer platforms | Contact details, audience data, managed outreach | Paid | Scale, once you know what works |
Find Creators filters and metrics from TikTok Shop Academy's Find Creators guide, updated 23 February 2026. Open collaboration from TikTok for Business help, updated August 2025.
One caveat on Find Creators: TikTok shows creator metrics only for creators who have authorised their data to be shown. A creator with a blank sales panel may still be good, which is why the search route matters. For platforms and their prices, see how to find TikTok influencers.
How does TikTok Shop's Affiliate Center work?
Affiliate Center is the part of Seller Center where you set commissions, invite creators, handle sample requests and message affiliates. There are two ways to work with creators.
| Open collaboration | Target collaboration | |
|---|---|---|
| Who sees it | All eligible affiliates in the marketplace, unless you require approval | Only the creators you invite, one by one or in bulk |
| Commission | 1% to 80% of the order, or an auto-optimised rate | 1% to 80%, and it always overrides your open rate for that creator |
| Payment options | Commission on sales | Commission on sales, or a flat fee paid through TikTok Shop (video only, reviewed before payout) |
| Samples | Free samples, or a refund after the creator's first sale | Same, plus you pick how long the deal lasts |
| Best for | Volume and discovery | Your shortlist |
From TikTok for Business help: target collaborations and setting one up, both updated August 2025.
Samples
You can approve, reject or ignore any free sample request. TikTok's sample guide (updated 24 September 2026) only lets creators with a TikTok Shop sale in the last 120 days request free samples. Once the product arrives, they have 14 days to post a shoppable video that stays public for at least 3 days, or go LIVE for at least 10 minutes with your product linked. Refundable samples need no approval from you: the creator buys the product and is refunded after hitting a sales goal within 120 days.
Ads commission
If you run Shop Ads on affiliate videos, you can set a separate commission for orders that came through ads. Leave it off and those orders pay your standard rate (TikTok for Business help).
Which creators can join
In the US an affiliate must be 18 or older, US-based, and have at least 1,000 followers (Creator Eligibility Policy, 31 July 2026). Creators under 5,000 followers spend at least 30 days in a pilot where they can only promote shops with a rating of 95% or higher (Pilot Program page, 13 May 2026). Some 2026 agency guides still quote 5,000 to join; TikTok's own page says 1,000. Keep your shop rating high, or the newest creators cannot pick you at all.
How to find TikTok Shop affiliates in search: a pet hair remover example
We ran the search a seller of a pet hair remover glove or deshedding tool would run. Three TikTok searches ("pet hair remover", "pet hair remover review" and "dog shedding tiktok shop") returned 53 different videos from 44 accounts. We pulled the profiles of 12 accounts behind the top videos, then the latest 15 posts of the 5 with 10,000 or more followers.
Your competitors are the top results. For "pet hair remover", 11 of the 19 videos came from accounts run by a brand or store: their name is a brand, or the caption says "our" product. Those 11 videos hold about 52% of the plays in the results. Open them to see what a working demo looks like, then look for creators who have filmed the same kind of product.
Small accounts make big product videos. A pet-hair glove video from an account with 346 followers had 5,623,657 views. A dog groomer with 3,063 followers had 914,798 on a deshedding video. Product demos travel on the video, not the follower count.
The catch is TikTok's rules. Creators under 5,000 followers can only promote shops rated 95% or higher, and free samples go only to creators with a TikTok Shop sale in the last 120 days. Put small creators in your open collaboration and let them come to you.

How do you shortlist TikTok Shop affiliates with data?
Score every candidate on five things before you send a sample: product fit, recent views, reach rate, shop activity and posting frequency. Here is how the five 10,000+ follower creators from our search scored.
| Creator | Followers | Their pet-hair or shedding video | Median views, recent posts | Hit vs median | Posts with a shop link | Pet posts | Posts a day |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| A: home and beauty finds | 235,900 | 22,005,804 | 1,943 | 11,326× | 15 of 15 | 0 | 7.3 |
| B: lifestyle finds, has a dog | 29,200 | 15,757,181 | 1,097 | 14,364× | 13 of 15 | 1 | 1.5 |
| C: fashion and family finds | 15,300 | 4,549,466 | 595 | 7,646× | 13 of 15 | 0 | 3.3 |
| D: home and gadget finds | 14,100 | 431,854 | 609 | 710× | 15 of 15 | 1 | 10.3 |
| E: family vlogs and finds | 12,800 | 3,016,067 | 999 | 3,021× | 8 of 15 | 0 | 4.9 |
Data: TikTok search results, profiles and each creator's latest 15 posts via TokConnect, pulled 30 September 2026. Median views count only posts at least 24 hours old. Posts a day is 15 posts divided by the days they span. Open the snapshot. Handles are left out.
Every one of the five is an active TikTok Shop affiliate: 8 to 15 of their latest 15 posts link a product. None of them is a pet creator. Their pet hits were posted between April 2024 and April 2026 and drew 710 to 14,364 times the views of a normal post today. If you pay a flat fee based on that hit, you are paying for a video that will not happen again.
The five checks, in order:
- Product fit. Read the last 15 captions. Three or more in your category is a strong sign. A creator who owns the problem (a shedding dog) films a more honest demo than one who does not.
- Recent views. Take the median of posts at least a day old. That is what one video from this creator is likely to get.
- Reach rate. Median views divided by followers. Creator A's 0.8% means a typical post now gets views equal to less than 1% of those 235,900 followers. Creator E's 7.8% is the best on the list.
- Shop activity. Posts with a product link show the creator already knows how to sell on TikTok Shop. Find Creators adds their 30-day revenue if they share it.
- Posting frequency. Our five posted 1.5 to 10.3 times a day. At 10 a day, your product is one of about 70 that week.
One "pet gear unboxing" account in our sample, with 5,762 followers, is flagged as a seller account in TikTok's profile data and follows only 35 accounts. That looks like a shop's own channel, not an affiliate. Check the bio and the products they link before you send stock.
What should you offer TikTok Shop affiliates?
A commission at or above the market rate, a free sample, and a clear brief. Hamster Garage (updated 17 July 2026) puts the average US affiliate rate at 13.02%, open collaborations typically at 10% to 15% and target collaborations at 18% to 25%. TikTok publishes no average. The full breakdown by category is in TikTok Shop affiliate commission rates.
- Two rates. An open rate for everyone, and a higher target rate for your shortlist. The target rate always wins for that creator.
- A sample with a deadline. TikTok already enforces 14 days. Say so in your invite so nobody is surprised.
- Commission, not a flat fee, for first tests. On our five creators, a normal post drew 595 to 1,943 views. Pay a fee once a creator has sold for you.
- A brief with search words. Tell creators what people type into TikTok about your product, so they say it in the video and caption. The TikTok Shop SEO guide explains why.
- A Shop Ads rate if you plan to boost their videos, so creators know what they earn on ad-driven orders.
Plan for most samples to produce nothing. Top Growth Marketing (updated 24 September 2026) tells sellers to expect 15% to 25% of seeded creators to post. Send more samples than feels comfortable, to creators who pass the five checks.
Outreach message templates
Keep each message under 150 words, name the product, the rate and the deadline, and mention a specific video. Send a follow-up after a week, then stop.
1. Target collaboration invite (inside Affiliate Center)
Hi [name], your [shedding brush video] is why we're writing. You showed the fur coming off in the first two seconds, which is exactly what our buyers want to see.
We make [product, five words]. We've sent you a target collaboration at [18]% commission, [5] points above our open rate, with a free sample. The deal runs [60] days. TikTok asks for a video within 14 days of delivery.
Happy to send a short brief with the words people search for. Want the sample?
2. Email to a creator with a contact in their bio
Subject: Free [product] + [18]% on TikTok Shop
Hi [name], I found you through your [video about X]. We sell [product] on TikTok Shop and I'd like to send you one, no strings. If you post, you'll earn [18]% through the target collaboration I'll send in Affiliate Center. If it's not a fit, no reply needed.
3. Follow-up after delivery
Hi [name], tracking says the [product] arrived on [date]. Anything you need from us? People on TikTok are searching "[top search phrase]" this week, if that helps the hook.
Do this in TokConnect
The search in this guide took 20 data pulls. In TokConnect you ask for it in one question and it runs the searches, profiles and post checks for you.
Build a TikTok Shop affiliate shortlist for [your product]: top videos, the creators behind them, followers, median views on recent posts, how often they post and how many posts link a shop.
When we ran it for pet hair removers, it came back with 44 accounts from three searches, flagged the brand accounts in the top results, and scored the five creators with 10,000+ followers as in the table above. Two made the invite list: Creator B, who has a dog and posts about 1.5 times a day, and Creator E, who has the best reach rate at 7.8%.
What to do next: take the handles into Find Creators to check their 30-day sales, send target collaborations to the ones that pass, and put everyone else in your open collaboration. TokConnect does not see TikTok Shop sales or GMV, so Find Creators is where you confirm who sells.

How we got these numbers
On 30 September 2026 we ran three TikTok video searches (pet hair remover, pet hair remover review, dog shedding tiktok shop), pulled 12 profiles of accounts behind the top videos, and pulled the latest 15 posts of the 5 with 10,000+ followers, all through TokConnect. Views, saves and followers are TikTok's public counts at that moment. Median views skip posts under 24 hours old, because new posts are still collecting views. We counted a post as "pet" by reading its caption and linked product. The sample is one niche and one day; creators' numbers change weekly. We did not see any sales data. The full snapshot is here.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find affiliates for my TikTok Shop?
Open Seller Center, go to Affiliate Center and use Find Creators to filter by product category, follower size, audience and sales. Then search TikTok for your product type and note the creators behind the top videos, and check who is already promoting competing products. Turn on an open collaboration so affiliates can find you too.
How do I invite creators to my TikTok Shop?
Create a target collaboration in Affiliate Center: pick the products, set a commission from 1% to 80%, choose how long the deal lasts, add a free sample if you want, and invite creators one by one or in bulk. You can then message them or copy the invite link to send elsewhere. The target rate overrides your open collaboration rate for that creator.
What commission should I offer TikTok Shop affiliates?
Hamster Garage (July 2026) puts the US average at 13.02%, with open collaborations usually 10% to 15% and target collaborations 18% to 25%. TikTok publishes no average. Start your open rate near your category norm and give your shortlist a few points more. See commission rates by category.
Do I have to send free samples to TikTok Shop affiliates?
No. You can approve, reject or ignore any sample request, or offer refundable samples, where the creator buys the product and is refunded after hitting a sales goal within 120 days. Free samples only go to creators with a TikTok Shop sale in the last 120 days, and they must post within 14 days of delivery.
How many followers does a TikTok Shop affiliate need?
1,000 in the US, plus being 18 or older and US-based, per TikTok Shop's Creator Eligibility Policy (31 July 2026). Creators under 5,000 followers spend at least 30 days in a pilot where they can only promote shops rated 95% or higher.
Are small creators worth recruiting for TikTok Shop?
Often, yes. In our 30 September 2026 search, a pet-hair glove video from an account with 346 followers had 5,623,657 views. Small creators face pilot limits, so reach them through an open collaboration rather than paid deals, and judge everyone on recent median views.
