- The only real public sales number is the lifetime "sold" count on each TikTok Shop product page. It has no dates and can change after returns.
- To estimate weekly sales yourself, record the sold count and price, check again seven days later, subtract and multiply by the price.
- Kalodata, FastMoss and EchoTik all build GMV from public signals and call their numbers estimates. Use them to rank products, never to pay commissions.
- Test any sales tool on one of your own products against Seller Center before you trust it on a competitor.
- Sales tools miss demand, videos and objections. For one body-care brand we found 9 typed searches with about 1.29 million a week, 4 with no videos.
You can see one real sales number for a competitor on TikTok Shop: the lifetime "sold" count on each product page. Everything else, such as units sold this week, GMV (total sales in money) or revenue per video, is an estimate. Kalodata, FastMoss and EchoTik build those estimates from public TikTok signals, and all three say so on their own sites. Nobody outside the shop can open its Seller Center.
Here is how to see competitor sales on TikTok Shop without guessing. Write down a competitor's sold count and price, check again a week later, subtract, and multiply by the price. Use a sales tool's free trial for rankings across many products, and treat its numbers as direction, not accounts. This page shows what is public, how the tools estimate, how far to trust them, and a step-by-step method for sellers and brands.
Checked 30 September 2026. We make TokConnect, one of the tools on this page. It shows what people search for on TikTok, which videos get watched and what commenters say. It does not track or estimate TikTok Shop sales.

Can you see a competitor's sales on TikTok Shop?
Partly. Every TikTok Shop product page shows a total "sold" number, and a December 2025 developer write-up of how sales trackers work starts from exactly that number. Store pages add their own totals: scraper documentation we checked lists a store's units sold, rating, followers and review count as public fields.
That number has three limits. It is lifetime only, with no dates and no daily rate, as one scraper's documentation puts it plainly. It counts units, not money, so you multiply by a price that changes with every discount. And it can move backwards: EchoTik notes (August 2026) that a visible total can change after cancellations and returns.
What you can't see is anything from the competitor's Seller Center: their orders, refunds, fees, payouts, traffic or ad spend. Your own Seller Center shows only your shop. We tried to open a TikTok Shop listing ourselves on 30 September 2026 and got a block page from our location, so the description above comes from the dated sources linked, not a screenshot.
How do Kalodata, FastMoss and EchoTik estimate sales?
All three start from public data and fill the gaps with models. None has access to TikTok's seller back end. Here is how each describes its own method, in our words, from pages we read on 30 September 2026.
| Tool | What it says it collects | How it gets to sales | What it says about accuracy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kalodata | TikTok e-commerce data from public channels | Refined with models it updates daily | Transaction amounts and ad spend can differ from real figures. Don't use it for commission settlements or performance reviews. FAQ |
| FastMoss | Public Shop signals: LIVE sales, views, likes, comments | Algorithms trained on 1,500+ days of history, recalibrated over time | Calls its figures estimates, not seller back-end data. FAQ |
| EchoTik | Public product, shop, creator, video and LIVE signals | Estimation methods it does not describe in detail | For comparison and trends, not audited revenue; report it as a range. Blog, August 2026 |
Vendor pages read 30 September 2026. Summaries and links in the facts file.
The core trick is the one you can do by hand. The December 2025 write-up describes trackers snapshotting the public sold count every day and taking the difference. If a listing reads 10,000 sold one day and 10,500 the next at $20, that is 500 units and about $10,000 for the day. The tools then add creator videos, LIVE sessions and ads to split the total by where the sale came from, and that split is where most of the modelling happens.
For prices, trials and markets, see our Kalodata vs FastMoss comparison, which also covers EchoTik.
How accurate are TikTok Shop sales estimates?
Good enough to rank products, not good enough to pay anyone. The vendors say this themselves: Kalodata warns against using its data for commissions, and EchoTik suggests quoting a GMV range instead of a single figure. A February 2026 review found Kalodata's units sold did not match the reviewer's own shop.
The errors come from predictable places. Returns and cancellations change the public total after the fact. Prices move with every flash sale and coupon, so money figures drift even when unit counts are right. A product listed in several markets or under several variants can split or double-count. And the split between video, LIVE and product card is modelled, not read.
Before you trust any estimate, look up one of your own products in the tool's trial and compare it with Seller Center for the same dates. If it is off by half for your category, it will be off by half for your competitor too.
How to see competitor sales on TikTok Shop, step by step
1. Pick three to five competitor products
Choose listings that sell the same thing as you at a similar price. One brand's hero product tells you more than its whole catalogue.
2. Record the sold count, price and date
Open each product page and copy the sold count, the price you see and today's date into a sheet. Do the same for the store total if you want the whole shop.
3. Check again in seven days and do the sum
Subtract last week's count from this week's, then multiply by the average price you saw. That is your weekly units and a rough GMV. A week smooths out one-day spikes from a single LIVE.
4. Use a sales tool trial for scale
Kalodata and FastMoss both offer a 7-day free trial and EchoTik has a free plan, per our 28 September check. Use them to rank dozens of products at once and to see which creators sell each one. Run the known-product test from the callout first.
5. Find the videos behind the sales
Search the product on TikTok and sort out who made the top videos: the brand, paid creators or ordinary buyers. Note the length, the hook and how many saves each one has.
What are the most-played TikTok videos about [competitor product], who made them, and how many were posted by the brand itself?
Free to start, 50 credits, no card. Or paste it into ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor once you connect TokConnect.
6. Read the comments and check the searches
The comments on the top videos tell you why people hesitate. The searches tell you what they want to know before buying. Neither shows up in a sales tool, and the next section shows both for one brand.
What sales tools don't show: demand, videos and objections
Say you sell a body scrub and Tree Hut is the brand you're up against. A sales tool can estimate how much it sells. Here is what TikTok's own data showed on 30 September 2026, which no sales tool reports.
Demand: what people type about the brand
We searched TikTok's Creator Search Insights for "tree hut" and "tree hut scrub". Of 26 topics, 17 were TikTok's own generated labels (curves that climb from near zero to millions in a week). The other nine were phrases people type, with about 1.29 million searches between them in seven days.
| Typed search | Searches, last 7 days | Videos TikTok matches |
|---|---|---|
| tree hut lip mask | 287,086 | 342 |
| how to use tree hut body scrub | 243,024 | 475 |
| super bowl tree hut | 239,979 | 0 |
| vanilla tree hut | 100,029 | 382 |
| tree hut lip scrub | 99,250 | 0 |
| tree hut face scrub | 86,256 | 0 |
| target tree hut | 83,391 | 0 |
| best tree hut scrubs | 75,522 | 684 |
| tree hut vs dove scrub | 75,107 | 340 |
TikTok Creator Search Insights via TokConnect, global, pulled 30 September 2026. "Searches" means searches in the last 7 days. Snapshot with all 26 topics.
Two things a rival can use. "how to use tree hut body scrub" has 243,024 searches a week: people want a how-to, and a how-to for your own scrub answers the same need. And "tree hut vs dove scrub" shows shoppers already compare brands in search, so a fair side-by-side with your product has an audience. Four typed searches, including "tree hut face scrub", have no videos at all. Read more on content gaps.
Content: who makes the videos that get watched
The top 17 videos for "tree hut scrub" had 18.6 million plays between them. The brand posted 3 of them; creators posted 14 and took 69% of the plays. Tree Hut's account has 2.2 million followers, yet the most-played video was a creator's 68-second collection video.
| Video | Made by | Plays | Saves | Length |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Describing a whole scrub collection, one word each | Creator | 5,238,877 | 44,832 | 68 s |
| Routine with a scrub and shave oil | Creator | 2,911,897 | 3,141 | 48 s |
| Vanilla scrub for vanilla lovers | Creator | 2,652,155 | 1,951 | 29 s |
| One scent, short clip | Brand | 2,310,990 | 2,930 | 6 s |
| Four scents on rotation | Brand | 1,731,157 | 3,128 | 17 s |
Public TikTok data via TokConnect, top results for "tree hut scrub", pulled 30 September 2026. Snapshot.
For a competitor, the lesson is where the sales content comes from. The collection video earned 44,832 saves, far more than any brand clip, because people keep it as a shopping list. If a sales tool says a product is selling, this is the kind of video to look for, and to brief your own creators on.
Objections: what the comments say
We read 100 comments on two of the top creator videos and sorted each by theme. 67 were about the product; the rest were jokes and compliments to the creator.
| Theme | Comments | Likes on them |
|---|---|---|
| Praise for a specific scent | 33 | 950 |
| Scent doesn't match its name, or smells off | 14 | 2,047 |
| Asks about other scents or rival brands | 12 | 78 |
| Discontinued, seasonal or hard to find | 4 | 19 |
| Skin reaction (burning, allergy) | 3 | 28 |
| Texture turns watery | 1 | 131 |
Public comments via TokConnect on two videos, 50 each, pulled 30 September 2026, coded by hand. Commenter names removed. Snapshot with every comment and its theme.
The complaint with the most weight is scent names. Eight comments complained about the strawberry scrub, seven of them about its smell, and the most-liked one, with 1,470 likes, said "the strawberry one is peach fr, smells nothing like strawberry." If you sell a scented rival, say plainly what yours smells like and show it on camera. Seasonal scents that vanish and scrubs going watery are two more angles a competitor can answer. Our comment export guide covers doing this at scale.

Do this in TokConnect
Pair a sales tool with TokConnect for the three things it leaves out. Ask: "What do people search on TikTok about Tree Hut, which videos get watched, and what do commenters complain about?"
When we ran those checks on 30 September 2026, they returned nine typed searches with about 1.29 million searches in a week, four of them with no videos. The top 17 videos had 18.6 million plays, 69% of them on creator videos. And 100 comments boiled down to one clear objection: scents that don't smell like their name.
What to do next: take your competitor's best seller from the sales tool, run the same three checks, and brief one video on a zero-video search and one on the top objection. It won't tell you their GMV. It tells you what to film so buyers pick yours.
What do people search on TikTok about [competitor brand], and which of those searches have no videos yet?

How we got these numbers
All pulls were made on 30 September 2026 through TokConnect: two Creator Search Insights topic searches ("tree hut", "tree hut scrub", 15 topics each, global, last 7 days), one 30-day search history, one video search (17 videos returned), the brand's public profile, a hashtag search, search suggestions and two comment pulls of 50 comments each. We counted a topic as a TikTok label if it passed 5 million searches or climbed every day from under 20,000 to over a million. Comment themes were coded by hand, one theme per comment.
Vendor methods come from each vendor's own page, read the same day. We did not measure any tool's accuracy ourselves, and we could not open a TikTok Shop listing from our location, so the description of sold counts relies on the dated sources linked above. For a wider method that covers accounts rather than products, see our TikTok competitor analysis guide.
Frequently asked questions
Can you see how many sales a TikTok Shop has?
You can see how many units each product has sold, because TikTok Shop product pages show a lifetime "sold" count, and store pages show totals too. You cannot see a shop's orders, revenue, refunds or ad spend. Those live in its Seller Center, which only the seller can open.
How do I check a competitor's GMV on TikTok Shop?
Use a sales tool such as Kalodata, FastMoss or EchoTik, which estimate GMV from public signals like sold counts, LIVE sales and video engagement. Or estimate it yourself: take the sold count a week apart, subtract, and multiply by the price. Both give an estimate, not the shop's real figure.
Is Kalodata accurate?
It is an estimate. Kalodata says it collects public data and refines it with models, that transaction amounts and ad spend can differ from real figures, and that its data should not be used for commission settlements. A February 2026 review found its units sold did not match the reviewer's own shop. Test it on a product you know.
Is there a free way to see competitor sales on TikTok Shop?
Yes. Reading the sold count on product pages is free, and two readings a week apart give you weekly units. EchoTik has a free plan, and Kalodata and FastMoss both offer 7-day free trials with no card, as of our 28 September 2026 check.
Does the TikTok Shop sold count include returns?
TikTok has not published how the number is calculated. EchoTik notes that a visible sales total can change after an order is cancelled or returned, so treat any reading as a snapshot.
Can TokConnect show TikTok Shop sales?
No. TokConnect does not track or estimate TikTok Shop sales, GMV, ad spend or revenue. It shows what people search for on TikTok, which videos get watched and what commenters say, which is what you use alongside a sales tool to decide what to film.
