What Exolyt does well
Exolyt is a TikTok-only analytics and listening platform founded in Helsinki in 2020, according to its about page. Its strength is watching the same accounts and hashtags every day and keeping the history.
- Tracking at volume. Essentials tracks 50 accounts, 50 hashtags and 50 sounds, refreshed twice a day. Advanced tracks 300 of each, six times a day. That suits an agency reporting on many clients and their competitors.
- Listening with sentiment. Its listening feature runs NLP sentiment over brand videos and monitors comments. Essentials includes 3 listening projects and Advanced 15. The pricing page lists sentiment analysis on Advanced only.
- Benchmarks. Brand comparison puts accounts side by side, and share of voice compares your brand with competitors.
- Influencer campaigns. It tracks campaign videos automatically and has an influencer finder.
- Seats and exports. All paid plans include 10 team members, and reports go out as CSV or into Google Sheets, Airtable or Looker Studio.
The one gap that matters for this comparison: we found nothing on Exolyt's site about TikTok search volume. Its search page is for finding accounts, hashtags, songs and videos.
What TokConnect does differently
Our tool reads Creator Search Insights, the tool TikTok built for creators to see what people search. It lives in the TikTok app and at tiktok.com/csi, with no export, no history view and no API. We pull the same numbers so you can ask for them by niche, in bulk, inside an AI app. Our Creator Search Insights guide explains the metrics.
It also pulls public videos, profiles, hashtags and comments, so one question can cover demand and supply. There is no saved tracking and no client dashboard: you ask, it looks up, and each lookup costs one credit. It covers TikTok only and does not have TikTok Shop sales, ad spend or anyone's private analytics.
One gym-wear niche, run through TokConnect
Here is the agency scenario we ran on 5 October 2026: pitching a gym-wear brand. We searched three seeds ("gym outfit", "leggings", "gymshark"), then pulled 30 days of daily searches and the audience split for one typed search from each, plus Gymshark's public profile and latest posts. That is 11 lookups, so 11 credits.
| Search | 7-day searches | Videos matched | Top country share | Age 18-24 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| new gymshark | 281,271 | 588 | US 56.7% | 52.2% |
| leggings gym outfit | 172,517 | 0 | US 60.5% | 37.2% |
| outfits for gym | 103,948 | 12,960 | US 40.5% | 39.6% |
Data: TikTok Creator Search Insights via TokConnect, pulled 5 October 2026. Searches are TikTok's 7-day global figure; country and age shares are from TikTok's 30-day audience split. Open the snapshot.
Three things a pitch could use. First, brand demand just woke up: "new gymshark" averaged 14,444 searches a day in the first week of the window and 79,533 in the last, with 11 days at zero in between. Second, "leggings gym outfit" has more weekly searches than "outfits for gym" but no matched videos, which is a clear content gap. Third, 3 of the 9 typed searches TikTok returned for "gymshark" had no videos: "k shorts gymshark" (206,061 searches), "oner and gymshark" (192,842) and "ceo of gymshark" (146,443).
The audience split adds the who. Women are 65.2% of "new gymshark" searchers and 50.3% for "leggings gym outfit", and the leggings search draws 11.7% of its searchers from the Philippines. A tracking tool built on posts would not show any of this, because nobody has posted it yet.
Of the 60 topic records the three seeds returned, 43 were topic groups TikTok generates, such as "Gymshark sizing and fit guide", each with a figure that pools many related searches (1.9 million to 4.8 million here). We leave them out of every number above and count only the 17 typed searches. A group with no videos, like the sizing one, is a hint about a theme, not a search count.
The public account side
Gymshark's profile showed 6.7 million followers, 141 million likes and 463 videos. Its 15 latest posts went up between 23 September and 4 October, about 9.6 a week, with a median of 57,000 plays and a median engagement rate of 6.55% (likes, comments and shares over plays). Five passed 100,000 plays, led by "winter arc is loading..." at 893,900.
This is a snapshot. Exolyt would keep pulling those posts twice a day and chart the growth; we show them as they stand when you ask. For a full method, our TikTok competitor analysis guide walks through it.
Run the same check for your own client:
Using TokConnect, search TikTok topics for [brand], [main product] and [category]. For the biggest typed search in each, show 7-day searches, videos matched, 30-day daily trend, and the age, gender and country split. Then pull [brand]'s public TikTok profile and 15 latest posts with median plays and the top post. Flag every search with over 100,000 weekly searches and no videos.

The units differ, so compare by job. Exolyt charges for how many things you track, with seats included. We charge per lookup: the 11-lookup scenario above fits 45 times into Starter's 500 credits. If you need the same 50 accounts refreshed twice a day for months, Exolyt's model fits better. If you need to answer new questions about different niches each week, credits go further.
Pick Exolyt if, pick TokConnect if, or use both
Pick Exolyt if you report on many TikTok accounts and hashtags every week, need history that builds up while you track, want sentiment and share of voice in a dashboard, or need 10 teammates and clients to log in to the same place.
Pick TokConnect if you need to know what people search for before anyone posts it, want search counts, trends and audience splits for any niche, or want the data inside ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor rather than another dashboard. It also suits teams that pitch new niches often and do not need standing tracking.
Use both if you are an agency. Keep Exolyt for tracking and client reporting, and add search demand for the slide that asks what the category wants to watch next. Our Exolyt alternatives page compares four more tools, and the agency page shows how a search-led brief fits a weekly routine.
How we got these numbers
All TikTok figures were pulled on 5 October 2026 through TokConnect's MCP server: search_topics for three seeds (20 topics each), search_popularity and audience_demographics with a 30-day window for one typed search per seed, and user_profile plus creator_posts for Gymshark. Search counts are TikTok's global 7-day "search popularity". Daily figures and audience shares come from TikTok's own series; audience shares are TikTok's sampled counts turned into percentages, and an "unknown" gender group of 21.7% to 30.4% is left in. We separate typed searches from TikTok's topic groups using our house rule: a record is a group if its 7-day figure is 5 million or more, or 1 million or more with the week's first daily reading under 5% of its last, or it sits in TikTok's Featured Content, or its wording describes a group. Every record from 1.9 million to 4.8 million here met that rule; the evidence file lists each one and why. Follower and like totals are rounded by TikTok.
Exolyt facts come from its own pricing and feature pages, read on 5 October 2026; we did not sign up or test it. Data: search snapshot, account snapshot, vendor facts.

For tracking many TikTok accounts and hashtags over time, with sentiment, share of voice and a team dashboard, yes. Exolyt Essentials tracks 50 accounts and 50 hashtags for €250 a month. For TikTok search demand, such as how many people searched "leggings gym outfit" this week (172,517 on 5 October 2026), TokConnect covers what Exolyt does not.
How much does Exolyt cost?
As of 5 October 2026, Exolyt Basic is free (1 account, 1 hashtag, 7-day history), Essentials is €250 a month or €210 billed yearly, and Advanced is €600 a month or €500 billed yearly. All paid plans include 10 team members. Enterprise is priced on request. Source: exolyt.com/pricing.
Does Exolyt show TikTok search volume?

Exolyt does not document a public API. Its exports page lists CSV downloads, Google Sheets and Airtable sync and a Looker Studio connection. TokConnect works as an MCP server, so ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor can call it directly.
Can I use Exolyt and TokConnect together?
Yes, and many agencies would. Use Exolyt to track client and competitor accounts every day, and TokConnect to check what the category searches for before a pitch or content plan. One niche check like ours took 11 lookups, so 500 credits on Starter ($49) cover about 45 of them.
