Best time to post on TikTok by day, Sunday to Saturday

Is Sunday a good day to post on TikTok? It can be, and no chart can tell you for sure. When people ask about the best time to post on TikTok on Sunday, they usually mean "will Sunday cost me views?" The honest answer from our numbers is that Sunday had the lowest median views in a 572-post sample, and also produced videos with millions of views. The day is not the deciding factor. This page breaks our two data sets down day by day, Sunday through Saturday. All the times below are UTC. TikTok tells us when a post went up but not the creator's time zone, so we cannot convert to yours; 15:00 UTC is 11am in New York, 4pm in London and 8:30pm in Mumbai. The 572-post sample is small, and a day's median reflects which creators happened to post that day, not something about the day itself. Keep both in mind as you read.

The table pulls both data sets together. The first two columns are the 572 posts from 58 creators and their median views. The last two are the 63 most-liked videos from nine everyday searches (recipe, workout, skincare, budget, study tips, cleaning, makeup, meal prep, morning routine) and their median views. Read the counts, not the medians: a weekday with five or six videos in it cannot tell you anything reliable about views.

Data: 572 posts from 58 creators (last 10 each, six niches), pulled 21 September 2026, and 63 unique most-liked videos from nine searches, pulled 22 September 2026, each grouped by the UTC weekday of its posting time. Per-day counts, medians and busiest 3-hour blocks are in the derived snapshot.

The median views bounce from 19,300 on Sunday to 70,100 on Tuesday, and Tuesday is the day with the fewest posts. That is the tell. A handful of large accounts choosing one day pulls its middle value up, and a slow week pulls another down. The counts are steadier than the medians, and even the counts only tell you when these creators liked to post, not when posting paid off.

Sunday

Sunday had the lowest median views in the sample, 19,300 across 85 posts, which lines up with the studies that name it the weakest day. It is not empty of hits, though: six of the most-liked videos went up on a Sunday, with a median above two million. If your followers are people who scroll on a quiet Sunday afternoon, Sunday is your day. Check your own Follower activity graph in your TikTok analytics before you write the day off.

Monday

Monday held 92 posts with a median of 22,550, the second lowest, yet it produced the most ranking videos of any day at twelve. People post to start the week and views for the average post run low, but the ceiling is clearly high. Treat Monday as untested until your own graph shows whether your followers are around.

Tuesday

Tuesday looks like the winner on paper: the highest sample median at 70,100 and the highest ranking-video median at 3.4 million. It is also the day with the fewest sample posts, 60, so a few big accounts move that median a long way. Do not read the 70,100 as a promise. Read it as a reason to give Tuesday a fair test on your account.

Wednesday

Wednesday sat in the middle for the sample, 29,900 median across 78 posts. Its ten ranking videos had a low median, 247,161, dragged down by a couple of small results, which is exactly why four or ten videos cannot rank a weekday. Midweek is steady, unremarkable, and entirely dependent on your own audience.

Thursday

Thursday was the busiest posting day, 106 posts, with a solid 44,450 median, and its nine ranking videos had the highest median of all, 3.6 million. If any day looked promising across both data sets it was Thursday, and the studies in the main guide tend to favour it too. That agreement is worth a test slot, not a fixed rule.

Friday

Friday held 83 posts at a 48,200 median, near the top of the sample, and its busiest posting window was 15:00 to 18:00 UTC. Is Friday night good for TikTok? For some audiences, yes; the sample suggests people are active into Friday afternoon and evening, but "Friday night" is a different clock for followers in different countries. Only five of the most-liked videos landed on a Friday, the fewest of any day, so its ceiling is the least tested here.

Saturday

Saturday held 68 posts with a 43,450 median, and eleven of the most-liked videos went up on a Saturday, several in the 18:00 to 21:00 UTC block. The best time to post on TikTok on Saturday, going by where these videos clustered, was the afternoon and evening in UTC terms, which is late morning to evening across the Americas. As always, that is a starting guess for your test, not your answer.

The best day to post on TikTok

Every weekday in our check produced videos with millions of views, and every weekday held between five and twelve of the 63 most-liked videos. No day was empty. That is the finding: the best day to post on TikTok is not a fixed day on a calendar, it is the day your own followers are most active. TikTok shows you exactly that in the Follower activity graph, broken out by day of the week, and it is the only chart built from the people who actually follow you.

The worst day to post on TikTok works the same way in reverse. Sunday had the weakest median in our sample, but "worst" for you is whatever day your follower graph is flattest, which could be a Tuesday.
